FAQ
Questions
What is plant virus testing?
Laboratory analysis of plant tissue to detect viruses, viroids and some bacteria. We use ELISA and PCR so growers and nurseries can confirm infection and support certification.
Which crops can you test?
Grapevine, pome and stone fruit, potato, citrus, avocado, maize, tomato, pepper, banana, cannabis, vegetables and ornamentals. Filter the table by crop to see the list.
Do you support VIA and DPA certification?
Yes. Many grapevine tests are offered for the Vine Improvement Association (VIA) scheme, and several pome and stone fruit tests for the Deciduous Plant Improvement Association (DPA) scheme.
What methods do you use besides ELISA?
PCR, and PCR with sequencing. The Method column in the test list shows what we use for each pathogen.
